Clear communication is vital for project success. This includes sharing information about EXPERT's goals, the team's work, and the results achieved throughout the project.

A consistent approach to disseminating information to stakeholders outside the consortium is key for raising awareness. To achieve this, a communication toolkit has been developed within Work Package 12: "Intellectual Property, Dissemination and Exploitation of Results." This toolkit, containing various materials for project partners to use in their communication activities, was prepared early on.

For maximum impact, a logo and colour scheme were established at the outset, allowing for consistent implementation from the very beginning. These design elements are now used across the project's website and all communication and dissemination materials.

This report describes the initial Data Management Plan (DMP) for the EXPERT project. The purpose of the DMP is to provide an overview of data types and datasets collected and generated by the project and to define the EXPERT consortium’s data management policy.

This version of the DMP defines the general policy and approach to data management in EXPERT that handles data management on the administrative and technical levels. This includes for example topics like data and meta-data collection, publication and deposition of open data, the data repository infrastructure and compliance with the Open Access Infrastructure for Research in Europe (OpenAIRE).

It furthermore summarises the guidelines on FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable) data management. The DMP will evolve during the lifespan of the project.

The EXPERT public website is the project’s primary communication tool about the project and, towards the end, for disseminating results and creating continuous awareness of the project’s activities.

The EXPERT public website is part of work package (WP) 12 “Intellectual Property, Dissemination and Exploitation of Results”. This WP’s objectives concentrate largely on ensuring coherent external communication of project activities, progress and achievements, and ensuring optimal visibility and wide outreach to all relevant stakeholders and the scientific community.

The public website went online in October 2019. It has been developed by a professional communications team at EXPERT partner EURICE, together with the coordinator and feedback from all partners.
