A Look Back at NME23

At the end of June, the European nanomedicine community came together in Liverpool for the NME23. EXPERT coordinator Raymond Schiffelers was not only re-elected as President of the European Technology Platform Nanomedicine, but also shared the latest results of our consortium with the nanomedicine community. In addition to the scientific and technical results, he imparted valuable lessons learned on pro-active interaction with project officers at the funding organisation when things do not go entirely as planned. His main take away: Close interaction allows for a project redesign that can still achieve maximum impact.

The conference was attended by over 300 participants from various backgrounds, including academia, SMEs, Big Pharma, and regulators.
